Fabric Inventory Assistant
Primary Accountability
Maintain inventory of all Fabric/Soft Goods
Essential Functions / Responsibilities / Duties
- Organize inventory and keep inventory lists updated
- Maintain condition of all soft goods. This includes the laundering of dirty fabrics and repairs damaged goods.
- Organize the inventory in a manner that items can be easily located
- Pull and pack items for jobs – accuracy is required
- Perform all duties with accuracy and speed
Secondary Functions
- Help maintain overall cleanliness and appearance of department
- Assist with sewing projects if needed
- Assist with sewing projects if needed
Interacts With:
Softwares Department Supervisor, other Department Supervisors and Managers, other Staff Members
Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent. Prefer college degree or college coursework in fabric design and/or textiles
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to communicate verbally in an effective and professional manner
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and provide self-motivation
- Superior Organizational Skills
Required Experience
1 or more years inventory experience desired. Theater experience is preferred.
Measurable Performance Standards
Meet established productivity goals for the completion of projects to support the needs at scheduled special events.

Neat, professional appearance and demeanor and safety awareness
Supplies / Tools / Equipment
- Must be able to effectively handle large fabric bolts
- Familiarity with fabric properties is helpful
- Sewing experience not required, but is a plus
- Theatre/Hospitality experience a plus
